HOLSTER DRAW PROFICIENCY
COURSE OVEVIEW:
This program provides comprehensive instruction on proper techniques for drawing from a holster,
prioritizing safety throughout the draw and reholstering process. The course is intended for
experienced shooters who can already demonstrate proficiency through dry fire holster draw and
safe handling of firearms before participating in any live fire exercises. Successful completion of a
safety demonstration is required before any live fire qualification. This structured curriculum offers a
solid framework for developing and refining holster draw techniques within a personal. Business or
professional context.

Safety standards for firearm carriage
Holster selection and equipment considerations
Draw methodology and sight picture acquisition
Fundamentals of drawing from a holster, including:
Effective garment clearing and coverage

Safe unholstering and reholstering techniques
Standard range etiquette and protocols for holster draw use
QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:
Live-fire qualifications are conducted at distances of 7,15, and 25 yards, using a USPSA-style
silhouette target with a 10-inch scoring zone (10-inch equivalent substitutes permitted)
Courses of fire (instructor led no time limits)

The qualification course is designed to verify each participants proficiency in holster draw and
reholstering, focusing on strict adherence to recognized safety protocols and professional practices.

• Ammunition 100 rounds (100-150 if booked with CCW course, no reloads)
• Eye and ear protection
• Holster (IWB,OWB only)
• magazine holster
• Shirt to cover holster (you will practice from concealment)
• NO OPEN TOE SHOES. MAY ENCOUNTER TICKS,TICK SPRAY IS ADVISED.
